Yukata and Obi only 11000yen for women and 13000yen for men with a
free fitting lesson and a Yukata international cultural party.
Yukata or summer cotton Kimono has been a symbol of Japan's summer since
the Tokugawa period (1600~1850). At first, cotton plantations were not suited to
Japan's climate and our ground was too poor. However we finally succeeded in producing cotton in the Tokugawa period when we got the seeds over 100 years ago. The Tokugawa period had enough time to make the necessary infrastructures to supplying food and water and more for the cotton. Then finally cotton was available for ordinary people and they enjoyed wearing it especially in Japan's humid and hot summer. They went to Hanabi(fire works) and festivals in Yukata. I believe Yukata is the best clothing to wear to enjoy Japan's summer. And you look sexier! However, I know it is tough to wear a yukata by yourself. But trust me, last year I taught the dressing of yukata to over 20 non-Japanese and they did very well after only taking my lesson once.
After successfully learning how to wear Yukata by yourself, you are invited to our special party. It is our one year reopening ceremony party. You can enjoy live
Shamisen; Japanese traditional instrument and learn about Japanese
history, and World War 2 with my mother Keiko, who survived the war
and enjoys sharing her memories with young people. Lastly enjoy posing and being a yukata model during our photo shoot. Our photographers will take wonderful photos of you to remember the day.
Come meet lots of new people in Yukata, not only Japanese but also from various
countries, men and women, young and old… Feel unity through Yukata!

Location: cozy Italian restraint in front of our shop
Delicious, healthy Italian food, rich in vegetables and all-you-can-drink wine
and non alcohol drinks will be provided.
